No Text I came to photography late. I have only been taking photographs for five or six years. My technical knowledge is minimal. I do not take long in setting up a picture. It is all very intuitive and hit or miss.


      Waves at Cruden Bay

I was on a working trip in the north-east of Scotland. I stayed at Cruden Bay and the weather in the early evening was just right - mistily mysterious, and with long shadows everywhere. This was the wider beach scene.

           Boat Abstract

This was also taken at Cruden Bay. I took 25-30 photographs in a half hour period. There just was not enough time to take everything I saw. This is one of a number of the side of an upturned boat.

I was taken to Hay-on-Wye for my 70th birthday. This was a river scene near where I stayed.

Boats and Skyscrapers

I was lucky enough to go to Vancouver for a conference in 2006. The weather was remarkable and this shot seemed to capture some of the visual excitement of the place.

        Blue Mountains

I spent some months in New South Wales in 2005. On a trip to the Blue Mountains I captured them in a bluey mood.
